Hi, I’m Nikki.

I combine my skills as a product designer and permaculture designer to create holistic solutions that are both beautiful and functional. Bringing together my love of digital and physical landscapes, I craft user-centric experiences that not only delight but also contribute to a more sustainable future.

When I'm not designing, you can find me in my pottery studio, transforming clay into functional vessels that reflect my deep appreciation for the natural world. I find serenity in the rhythmic flow of hands on clay, creating tactile expressions of form and texture.

In my free time, I love to immerse myself in the company of my cats, curl up with a good book, or re-scape my aquariums. The tranquility of these pursuits allows me to recharge and reflect, bringing fresh perspectives to my creative endeavors.

I am always seeking new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. My passion for design and sustainability drives me to continuously explore innovative ways to create meaningful impact.

Why should we work together?

With over a decade of experience as a product designer across diverse environments, from early-stage startups to dynamic agencies, I'm adept at navigating the full spectrum of design challenges. My portfolio boasts a diverse clientele, including JetBlue, Morgan Stanley, ACA Compliance, and LoanStreet. Whether your project requires a user researcher, an independent contributor, or an interface designer who seamlessly integrates into your team, I'm confident in my ability to deliver exceptional results.

My passion for design systems shines through my work, where I emphasize the power of well-structured and scalable building blocks to create consistent and intuitive user experiences.

I thrive in collaborative environments that foster innovation and collaboration, working alongside talented individuals to craft remarkable products that leave a lasting impact.

What other have to say

  • Nikki is the UX professional you want if you need someone to make things happen. I hired and worked closely with her for the better part of four years between 2019 and 2023. Nikki is the kind of person who takes ownership and personal responsibility for any project that needs to get done. But her engagement with the work extends past pure completion; she considers the systemic attributes of the product or feature in question, as well as that of the overall team process that came before and will follow. She applies a multi-faceted skill set to individual design problems, communication among product managers, designers and developers, documentation methods, tools and design systems. Nikki is also a fun person to work with who naturally becomes part of the glue that pulls teams together. I’d readily recommend her as a foundational member of a growing organization or key addition to an established one.

  • Nikki is invaluable in the way she can transcend the role of UX/Design. Her ability to present her ideas in different ways depending on the audience is a great asset and has helped bridge gaps between teams such as Product, Design, and Engineering. While I was Lead Engineer for our Design System team, Nikki was able to find compromise between beautifully complex designs and engineering limitations or resources. She was always able to keep the team moving forward while never letting the standard for the product drop. Along with her professionalism, she is an amazingly kind and funny individual that brightens any meeting and that anyone would love to have on their team.

  • I had the pleasure of working with Nikki at Big Spaceship, where we teamed up to redesign a significant part of JetBlue’s digital experience. Nikki brought a unique blend of creativity, high EQ, and strong client communication skills to our team. She had a knack for understanding business processes, and her natural empathy allowed her to create user-centered designs that truly resonated.

  • I worked closely with Nikki in building the foundations for the design system at LoanStreet. She was a great thought leader and partner and taught me a lot about design system principles, including atomic design and design tokens. We collaborated closely as we iterated on the components, and she was great at incorporating feedback and taking the components to the next level to suit product and development needs. I would love to have the opportunity to work with her again in the future!
